The Creative & Communications Association is the business representative organisation for Ireland’s creative and communications industry.

We represent and support our members with clarity of purpose: to enhance and future proof the creative and communications industry in Ireland.

We empower business operating in the creative and communications sector through a strong industry voice, influence with government, sector expertise, and a network for learning and collaboration.

Our member companies range from indigenous to multinational businesses, delivering professional strategic services to both public and private sector clients. Our members employ 80% of the sector’s workforce, delivering services that grow businesses, shape public understanding, and drive behaviour change that benefits both the economy and society.

Their expertise spans Media and Creative, Advertising, Public Relations and Affairs, Sponsorship, Events and Experiential design, Digital and Research and Strategic Consultancy.

Meet Our Board of Directors

Our Board of Directors are elected senior leaders from our membership charged with leading and directing the Association. Chaired by the President, our Board are trained in accordance with best practice in corporate governance. They act collectively for the Association, safeguarding its independence and sustainability.

Corporate History

The Institute of Advertising Practitioners in Ireland was established in 1964. It underwent a name change to the Creative & Communications Association in 2026 to facilitate a strategic transformation for the organisation to meet the future needs of members.

Siobhán Masterson

Chief Executive Officer

Biography

Siobhan joined the organisation as CEO in 2025. She is an experienced corporate leader having previously been Global Director for Corporate Affairs at Kerry Group, Commercial Director at the Royal Dublin Society and Head of Corporate Affairs at Ibec. She has been instrumental in driving corporate growth, profitability and reputational impact throughout her career. She is currently a member of the Board of the Advertising Standard Authority of Ireland and Chair of its Finance and Audit Committee as well as a member of the Government’s Cost of Business Forum. She was previously a member of the National Economic and Social Council and held board positions on Business in the Community Ireland and Chapter Zero Ireland.  She holds a BA and MSc in Economics from University College Dublin.

Aoife Joyce

Director of Commercial Development & Partnerships

Biography

Aoife leads commercial partnerships and membership development, ensuring the organisation continuously strengthens its value proposition and remains committed to its members. She focuses on building strong industry partnerships while supporting the long-term sustainability and growth of the membership base. Prior to joining, Aoife spent 17 years in the advertising and communications industry.

Niall Carty

Director of Public Affairs

Biography

Niall leads policy, regulation and public affairs, delivering advisory services to members, as well as proactively influencing key external stakeholders on policy and regulatory affairs. Prior to joining, Niall worked with Coimisiún na Mean where he was responsible for regulations related to commercial communications.

Kate Goldsmith

Director of Membership Services

Biography

Kate leads the member services team delivering professional and innovative member services to support and enhance their businesses and the industry’s collective strength. This includes convening & connecting through an events and awards programme, delivering training & development initiatives and business supports. Prior to joining the team, Kate spent over a decade in the advertising and communications industry in London and Dublin, specialising in business development and marketing.

Colette Maher

Finance Manager

Biography

Colette leads the finance function for the organisation, overseeing day-to-day finance and operations, supporting the Finance, Audit and Membership Committee while also leading Human Resources. Colette is an accountant and prior to joining the team worked with an accountancy practice supporting a diverse range of clients.

Keith O’Connor

Finance Manager

Biography

Keith is part of the member services team and is responsible for training and education initiatives. Keith links our members to educational institutions and works in conjunction with CSR networks to deliver collaborative projects highlighting career opportunities in the creative communications sector.

Sophie Carey

Communications and Project Manager

Biography

Sophie is part of the member services team with responsibility for programmes including Cannes Young Lions and the Female Futures Fund, while also leading the organisation’s events and communications. Previously, Sophie held roles in marketing and public relations within Ireland’s hospitality sector.

Danny McHugh

Designer

Biography

Danny is part of the member services team with responsibility for in-house design. He supports event communications with a focus on digital and website management. Previously, Danny held design roles at 3D Issue and Real Media Group.
